Greyton offers many activities for both locals and visitors.

Choose between a walk down our narrow dirt roads and the Greyton Village Walk or a mountain bike or trail route through our majestic mountains.

Whether its visiting one of our many restaurants or just relaxing with a book in the garden, Greyton is sure to offer something for everyone.

There are a few delis in the village with scrumptious home made goodies as well as two basic supermarkets where you’ll find all of your everyday needs.

Art Galleries and shops

Some well-known and some newer galleries are situated in Greyton. Greyton is home to the famous Belgian chocolate factory, Von Geusau’s situated in the Oak and Vigne café – 028 254 9100

Get active in Greyton

Greyton offers good and safe swimming, canoeing and fishing in the Gobos river which runs through Greyton then joins the Sonderend River at the well known Greyton camp site.

4×4 trails

There are a number of 4×4 trails to be found on a few of the nearby farms.

Mountain Biking and Hiking Trails

There are many routes to chose from catering for both novices and pros. Please see our MTB, Hiking & Trails page for more info.

Horse riding

There are local horse trail centres, located on a farm nearby, which also provides lessons for novices. Enjoy the mountainsides and surrounds on horseback while passing through fruit orchards and proteas.

Tennis

Greyton has two tennis courts situated next to the Village Green on Main Road.
Permits are available from Osman Store on the corner of Main Road and Oak Street.

Bowling Club

Greyton also has a Bowling Club situated at the lower end of the village. Please enquire at the front security.
